How do you get rid of or prevent cellulite?
Ok so i know u get cellulite genes or whatever from yer mummy.Well its hereditary anway.
But how the hell does one get rid of the lumpy mess?
Or prevent it?

I read that cellulite is caused by a lack of circulation to that area, so i heard massaging it helps, and rubbing used coffee grounds is supposed to help because of the caffine?

Also just losing weight/fat should help get rid of it, but sometimes its just in your genes and you can’t do anything about it.

There are creams too, but I wouldnt trust those

you have to walk that really reduces cellulite


I have seen creams for cellulite prevention but I don’t know if they work. But just so you know, there are things if you want to look for something and try it out.

I just saw on Oprah today how to make your butt look nice in tight pants, especially white ones, if you have cellulite. It suggested using one of those things that you were under your clothes that smooths out your skin and pulls you in so you look thinner. So if its appearance you’re worried about you could try one of those.

As for getting rid of it, I’m willing to bet there’s no miraculous cure. I’ve heard Tyra Banks say that she has cellulite and she got out of the modeling business before they kicked her out. If there was something that worked, she could certainly afford it or might tell others about it. But maybe plastic surgery does work if you were that worried about it. Otherwise, like you said, its normal. Do what you can to minimize it, but don’t worry about it too much.


You can’t prevent it or get rid of it, but you can reduce the appearance of it.
Exercise. Squats and dead lifts are the best.

I’ve seen a big difference after two weeks, but to maintain the results, you need to use it consistently.

Cellulite is caused by two things, 1) Fatty tissue and 2) Connective tissue.

The first can be taken care of primarily by diet and working out. Drink your fair share of water, don’t eat too much and work out to maintain your metabolism. The second is more problematic and gets worse as you age because collagen is not regenerated so the tissue becomes less elastic and of course most people gain weight as they age because of a less active life style and a drop in metabolism.

There are treatments out there that are supposed to be able to help with both the fatty tissue and the connective tissue. The treatments reduce the fat and provide elasticity to the connective tissue. Some of their names include Mesotherapy, Velasmooth and Endermologie.


Of course eating right and exercising will help prevent and manage the cellulite you already have. I once asked a plastic surgeon what could be done without any invasive procedures. He said that simply getting a loofah and massaging the area till it gets red helps increase the circulation in that area, now you must also start exercising. So he suggesting starting an exericse program and when you are taking a shower, massage the area with the loofah, it actually is more like rubbing the area to me, it will help get rid of some of the cellulite. His rational was that cellulite is fat cell that do not have a lot of circulation through them and you have to increase the circulation to be able to burn them off. I have tried this and after about 2-3 weeks, I did see some results.
